THE WORK YOU WILL DO:
The Quality ControlChemist/Scientist ensures the quality of raw materials received into the facility and all products produced at our facility before being shipped to our customers.
The Quality Control Chemist/Scientist is expected to train the team in safe work and lab procedures, calibration of lab instruments, record keeping, and general lab upkeep.
A staggered shift, including night and weekend hours may be required.
Inspect, sample, and test incoming raw materials, packaging, and finished products Perform scheduled calibration of lab instruments and maintain calibration records Perform transactions in the company ERP system to reflect movement of inventory from production to warehouse Prepare lab reagents and manage inventory of lab reagents and supplies Collect and test production wastewater effluent Recordkeeping of test data and inspections Monitor, inspect, and dispose of finished product retain samples Monitor production process of finished products to assure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures Data entry (test results, calibration results, warehouse transfers, etc.
) General lab upkeep and other duties as assigned Design and execute R&D experiments, as needed Assist in developing analytical methods to support R&D, as needed YOUR MUST HAVES:
Must have a 4-year BS or BA technical degree from a college or university, preferably in a Science major Experience with analytical techniques and instrumentation Due to the nature of this work, you must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

Ability to work safely according to OSHA and company guidelines Good communication skills, both verbal and written Scientific principles, a willingness to learn, and lab techniques that are effective, efficient, and safe Problem-solving ability Excellent project management skills Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a contributing member of a team.
Mechanical aptitude to set-up, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment OUR ENVIRONMENT:
